Driving climate ambition focus of new IETA, Forbes partnership

GENEVA, 11 October – IETA is excited to announce the publication of its second collaboration with Forbes magazine, featured in the latest Forbes 400 issue.
Building off of last year’s successful section focused on net zero, this year’s Driving climate ambition section shines a light on how businesses are stepping up to voluntarily join the climate change fight. Written again by experienced freelance journalist Mythili Sampathkumar, the article looks at how the voluntary carbon market is evolving, changing business practices, and the removal of non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions.
“IETA is committed to making net zero possible, and the partnership with Forbes allows us to show a business audience – including many executives and decision-makers – how their peers are taking action, and hopefully inspire others to follow their lead,” says Dirk Forrister, CEO & President of IETA.
“Voluntary actions help plug the gap between compliance markets and where science tells us we need to be, and it is important to encourage efforts to reduce emissions which are of high integrity, which are real, and which redefine business-as-usual.”
Publication of the section was supported by Agoro Carbon Alliance, Tradewater and Verra. The full article is available on the IETA website.
